Overview
We are seeking Line Cooks + Prep Cooks to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and a commitment to food safety practices.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Support the head chef in daily operations and help train new kitchen staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary aide practices is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
