Overview
We have an opening for a Safety Coordinator / Trainer. The role’s primary responsibility will be to perform mock inspections on trucks to ensure they are DOT compliant, conduct new driver orientation, coach drivers on safety policies, and provide administrative support to the safety department.
Duties
- Administering safety policies
- Conducting driver orientation
- Inspect trucks and trailers, ensure they are DOT compliant.
- Ensure organization’s compliance with FMCSA regulations and guidelines.
- Provide coaching and training to drivers on driving practices.
- General admin and office work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Ability to learn core safety functions
- Comfortability public speaking and conducting orientation
- Willingness to travel short distances to perform mock inspections.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- 1-3 years of Office experience preferred
- Any DOT or trucking experience is helpful.
