Safety Representative - Construction
Position Summary
Quality Electric Inc is offering a Safety Representative - Construction in Boise, ID, where the selected representative will support our electrical field with emphasis on Industrial and Commercial installations.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday
7:00 am to 5:30 pm
*Possible overtime operations, depending on project.
Minimum Qualifications
Competencies:
· Skill in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA and NFPA safety standards.
· Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
· Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
· Ability to develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and protocols.
· Skill in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or procedures.
· Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
· Skill in developing safety procedures and protocols.
· Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
· Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, safety engineering, environmental, or public health, or a related field from an accredited college or university and four years of increasingly responsible experience.
(or)
· Construction electrician experience at the journeyman level with a minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management.

Certificates & Licenses:
Certificates:
· OSHA 30
· Preferred; OSHA 500
· NFPA 70E
· First Aid and CPR
· Competent Person; Fall Protection, Excavation, Confined Space, and Scaffolding.
Licenses:
· Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
Other Requirements:
· Fluent in EnglishLanguage
· Beneficial if proficient in Spanish Language
Working Conditions
The position requires work at an active heavy commercial / industrial construction site and in an job trailer / office environment.
