Safety Compliance & Breakdown Mgr – Night Shift
Venture Express, an established transportation company, is in immediate need of a night-time Safety Compliance & Breakdown associate in the middle Tennessee area. This position will report directly to the Safety Director and will have a multitude of responsibilities including but not limited to accident response, ELD management, HOS enforcement / training, tractor/trailer breakdown response and other various administrative duties within the Department.
Hours: 9:00PM – 7:00AM (Must be somewhat flexible)
Wage: $60K - $70K (Based on experience)
Job Description:
Position will be responsible for:
· Manning Accident Hotline, taking calls and emails regarding Class 8 Tractor and Trailer breakdowns/accidents
· Triage accident calls and coordinating response
· Coordinating vendors to complete the repair based on an approved vendor listing
· Working with company service trucks throughout all terminals to manage breakdowns when applicable
· Updating the operations team for equipment affected by a breakdown
· Following all company purchasing procedures
Using TMT Fleet Maintenance (Windows) for all record keeping
· Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Transportation Safety experience
- Proficient HOS knowledge and enforcement
- Familiar with FMCSA regulations and processes
· Experience with managing over the road breakdowns a plus
