Duties

Works as a Senior Analyst under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Director.
Conducts process improvement studies of Defense Health Agency and Defense Health Network health services delivery systems and operations.
Assists in developing system-wide process improvement initiatives and/or project plans and organizes the results into conclusions and actionable proposals.
Serves as a strategic planner for the Defense Health Network and subordinate Military Treatment Facility's.
Provides analytic capability and advice to leaders, key staff, and decision makers.
Responsible for extrapolating projected information requirements from Defense Health Agency mandates and policy statements.
Participates in Staff Assistance Visits, inspections, develop findings, identify deficiencies and best practices, recommends potential initiatives/projects to improve deficiencies and develops After Action Reports.

This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5 % of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) analyzing healthcare operations or processes to identify deficiencies and; 2) conducting complex studies of healthcare delivery and; 3) identifying solutions in response to analysis results. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
