Summary:

The Safety and Fleet Manager ensures the compliance of health and safety laws in the workplace as well as effectively manages a fleet of approximately 150 company-owned vehicles. This individual will develop and execute health and safety plans, enforce policies, assess risks, and promote a culture of safety.

Essential Functions:

Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures according to state and federal guidelines
Advise the company's administrative team on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations
Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
Conduct monthly safety meetings
Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines
Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment
Schedule maintenance on vehicles, assure compliance with driving regulations, and ensure proper training is provided to all drivers.
Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to maintenance and proper driving practices
Perform other duties as required by management

Minimum Qualifications:

Proven experience as a safety/ fleet manager
Expert knowledge of OSHA programs and regulations, best driving practices, vehicle maintenance, and other industry practices.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficient use in Microsoft Office programs
Excellent motivational, time management, & organizational skills
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
Ability to pass a drug screen, MVR, and 7-year background check
Legally able to work in the United States
