Responsibilities:

Perform accurate and timely billing for healthcare services provided, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Review and verify billing information, including assignments of codes and charges, to minimize discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any outstanding payments.
Resolve billing issues and discrepancies by working collaboratively with relevant parties.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.
Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations to ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in medical billing or coding, preferably in a remote capacity.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and coding software.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, necessary to convey information accurately.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced remote environment.
