Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our nonprofit psychotherapy practice to:

Shepherd the use of TherapyNotes billing in our practice.
To ensure correct billing practices by 60 part-time therapists, mostly associates.
Follow-up on claim denials, and accurate revenue recording.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a quick capacity to understand medical billing processes and coding, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided. Including:

Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (optional)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with Google workspace apps (sheets and docs)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Tasks include:

Training & Supervision:

Train & Supervise new Trainees in:
EHR platform use (TherapyNotes)
Billing credit cards
Refunds
Generating Superbills
Out of Network Billing
Direct Payment Revenue Reports

Train & Supervise new Associates in:
Checking eligibility & benefits
Insurance billing documentation standards
Correcting and rebilling denied claims
Understanding insurance revenue reports
Other TherapyNotes skills

Claim Submission:

Review note formats prior to signatures
Request revisions from rendering therapist
Submit claims

Claim Review:

Process each ERA into TherapyNotes
Screenshot each denial and send to clinicians
Troubleshoot each denial with clinician
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve problems
Update Insurance panels on current rosters and contract details

TherapyNotes Revenue Accounting:

Sort unassigned clinician revenue

Expansion:

Develop billing policies and practices for new lines of business
