Front Office Associate/Medical receptionist needed in Ophthalmology office.

Duties include:

Computerized scheduling

Computer based insurance verification

Charge entry

Top tier candidates will have the following attributes:

Two years of medical office experience (retina preferred)
Insurance verification experience with Medicare/Medicaid and all private payers
Charge entry experience
Scheduling experience (multiple providers and multiple offices, computer based scheduling preferred)
Knowledge of referrals and comfortable obtaining referrals that clearly cover the services being rendered.
Experience in obtaining precertifications for high dollar drugs/tests/surgical procedures
Comfortable collecting from patients - copays, and the ability to calculate deductibles and coinsurance and collect these amounts
Ability to manage multiple phone lines efficiently, professionally, and politely
Ability to multi-task
Excellent grammar
Excellent customer service skills
Ideal candidate will have successful experience in a high volume specialty practice setting.

Position and duties are shared with three other front office team members.
