Job Posting: Full-Time Safety Officer (6-Month Contract)

Position: Safety Officer

Duration: 6 Months

Project Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join

our team for a 6-month contract to oversee the safety protocols for a major building project in

North Haven, CT. This will be a build out of a commercial building.

Key Responsibilities:

● Enforce safety policies and procedures on the construction site.

● Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA

regulations and company standards.

● Identify and address potential hazards and safety issues.

● Provide safety toolbox talks and orientation for all site personnel.

● Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

● Maintain safety records and documentation.

● Collaborate with project managers and contractors to promote a safe working

environment.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry.

● In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.

● Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, Certified Safety Professional) preferred.

● Strong communication and leadership skills.

● Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.

● Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
