Primary Responsibilities
As a Construction Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of all personnel and compliance with safety standards. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures tailored to project needs.
Conducting routine safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, and enforce corrective actions.
Providing safety training and education to employees, subcontractors, and new hires, ensuring everyone is informed of safety protocols.
Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports, and recommending preventative measures.
Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance activities.
Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and ensure a culture of safety awareness.
Staying current with industry best practices, regulatory updates, and trends to continuously enhance safety programs.

Compensation and BenefitsPeopleReady Skilled Trades values your expertise and dedication. Here’s what you can expect:

Competitive hourly pay: $38-$45/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 hours per day, with potential weekend work as needed.
Project duration: January 12, 2026, to January 2027.
Start time: 5:30 PM daily.
On-site parking for added convenience.
Standard hand tools required, provided by the candidate if applicable.

Requirements :Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety-related certification is highly desirable.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in a general contracting environment.
Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Ability to assist with self-performing trade activities of the client
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
