Omega Environmental Services, Inc. (Omega) is actively recruiting Industrial Hygienists/environmental professionals who will be working directly with our customers to certify the execution of all asbestos, lead, and hazardous materials activities within commercial and industrial properties in Southern California. Our new team member will have strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with our customers and assist in growing our customer base. If you have a minimum 1-10 years of field experience, impeccable time management skills and a willingness to grow in the Environmental and Sustainability industry, then this position with Omega is for you.

Responsibilities:

Asbestos and lead-based paint building inspections, asbestos and lead air monitoring, and oversight and monitoring of abatement/demolition contractors for abatement and/or demolition.
Interact and communicate with clients and contractors on technical matters.
Respond to client field inquiries in a prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous manner.
Ultimate responsibility for the quality and timely collection of field data.
Collation and accounting of field samples.
Knowledge of equipment and equipment software and operating systems necessary for the recording and downloading of field equipment.
Assist in report writing and documentation review.
Adhere to all aspects of the health and safety program.

The candidate will provide field notes, photographs, draw sample locations, draft reports, submit chain-of-custody to laboratory and Project Manager(s), and assist the Project Manager with ordering equipment and supplies for projects. The applicate must have a bachelor’s degree in science and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The Industrial Hygienist will be required to: work independently in the field and report back to senior staff; have proven problem solving capabilities, maintain a professional attitude and appearance in the field and office, be willing to work flexible hours with some travel. A valid Driver's license and insured serviceable vehicle is a must.
