We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately transcribe and interpret medical reports. This role is essential in ensuring that patient records are meticulously documented and maintained, contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical office.

Responsibilities

Transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Review and edit transcriptions for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any unclear dictations or terminology.
Stay updated on advancements in medical terminology and transcription technology.
Organize and manage electronic documents within the medical office system.

Requirements

Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate transcription.
Excellent listening skills to accurately interpret dictated audio files.
Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record systems is a plus.
