Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment on construction sites by implementing and monitoring safety protocols. This position requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards, compliance management, and risk management practices. The Safety Officer will collaborate with various teams to promote safety awareness and ensure adherence to regulations.

Duties

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with EHS standards.
Provide training sessions for employees on safety practices, workers' compensation, and emergency response protocols.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all safety measures are being followed.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and advancements in construction management software related to safety.

Experience

Proven experience in occupational health and safety within the construction industry is preferred.
Familiarity with compliance management systems and risk management strategies.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations is essential.
Experience in using construction management software to track safety metrics is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail in identifying potential hazards.
