The Senior Population Health Research Analyst is the primary investigator responsible for leading the completion of one or more research projects within AMGA R&A. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of a successful project, from ideation through publication and dissemination, with support from other R&A staff Members. This is an individual contributor role, though successful Sr. Analysts should feel confident collaborating with other analysts and programmers to manage the different aspects of a complex research project.

Summary of Responsibilities

Apply advanced analytic skills to design statistically sound analytical approaches and compelling data visualizations to support population health improvement for medical groups and integrated health care systems across the US
Lead mixed methods and implementation research projects including developing study concepts, designing research protocols, conducting research, and disseminating findings through presentations and peer reviewed manuscripts
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including funders, members of the programming team, and other analysts to ensure projects are completed successfully
Analyze integrated administrative & clinical data using statistical and data visualization software such as SAS, Stata, R, & Tableau
Design and generate reports, provide insights, and interpret analytic results in clinically meaningful terms
Conduct qualitative research, e.g., interviews, focus groups, and support qualitative data analysis

Senior Population Health Research Analyst

Master’s degree in public health, statistics, epidemiology, or related field, or equivalent experience (Doctoral degree preferred)
Experience with statistical analysis of clinical trial or observational study data
Expertise in statistical software such as R, SAS, Stata, or SPSS
Proficiency with data visualization using software (e.g. Tableau) or programmatic methods (e.g. ggplot)
Expertise in research involving analysis of clinical, operational, and/or financial health care data, including qualitative as well as quantitative methods (preferred)
Experience planning research projects, conducting analyses of clinical outcomes, and presenting findings
Demonstrated experience in proposal preparation, including literature review and protocol development
Proven ability to “tell a story with data,” capable of conveying complex concepts to audiences with multiple perspectives, at different levels of sophistication, including chief medical and quality officers, front-line care teams, and operations executives
Familiarity with clinical settings, health care operations, and quality improvement methods, including translation

Pay: $100,000.00 - $139,000.00 per year
