Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Sanitation Technician to support manufacturing operations by cleaning and sanitizing production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for maintaining high sanitation standards to ensure products meet quality and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, handling cleaning chemicals, performing physical tasks, and following safety and sanitation procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize production and packaging equipment while following all safety procedures.
Clean and sanitize batching and holding tanks according to company procedures.
Perform light mechanical tasks to assist with equipment cleaning, including opening pumps and production equipment.
Use cleaning chemicals and hot water safely and effectively.
Sweep, scrub, and mop production areas and floors.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
Complete sanitation tasks while meeting production and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in wet, humid, and changing temperature environments.
Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
Ability to follow safety procedures and chemical handling requirements.
Ability to read and understand chemical labels and SDS information.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred:

Manufacturing, food, cosmetic, or sanitation experience.
Knowledge of sanitation processes and cleaning procedures.
Experience working with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
Understanding of microbial contamination and prevention practices.

Work Environment

Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Exposure to hot water, cleaning chemicals, wet surfaces, and humidity.
Requires working around production equipment.
May require weekend and holiday availability as needed.
