Bend Health's collaborative care model relies on an evidence-based approach to help families manage the ups and downs of everyday life. These challenges could involve managing emotions, challenging negative thinking, and reducing stress and anxiety.
We are looking for a full-time, Credentialing Specialist passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care to join our team. This position reports to the SVP of Revenue Cycle Management.
What you'll do:
- Request Initial and Continuing Prior Authorizations for patient's as per the insurance companies guidelines
- Help answer billing and insurance questions and phone calls from the internal staff, patients, and insurance companies
- Track current authorizations so we do not miss resubmitting for a new authorization, as well as alerting providers when patients are getting near the end of their authorization
- Help with month end billing submission and reconciliation work
- Help Create and maintain prior authorization workflows and reporting
- Help answer insurance benefit questions from patients and staff
- Coordinate timing of authorization requests by collaborating with Behavioral Care Managers and other team members
- Assist with miscellaneous billing/authorization/insurance benefit work as it arises
- Helping to assist in minor data entry or billing projects if necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- A great people person that is willing to work collaboratively with multiple departments and vendors
- Extremely detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks accordingly
- Educational background and certifications in healthcare and billing and/or credentialing required
- 2 years healthcare experience preferably in authorization, billing, credentialing or comparable department
- Database management experience preferred
- Experience using project management tools preferred
The pay for United States residents is $20-$26/hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Bend Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
