Shifts:
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Development:
- Plan, organize, and oversee clinical staff training and professional development programs.
- Assess the learning needs of staff and tailor training initiatives accordingly.
- Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify skill gaps and address them.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs.
- Maintain records of staff certifications and training sessions.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the organization.
- Infection Prevention:
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular facility audits to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Provide education to staff regarding infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and equipment cleaning protocols.
- Investigate infection outbreaks and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and analyze infection control data, presenting findings to facility leadership.
- Serve as a resource for staff, residents, and families regarding infection control measures.
- Collaborate with local and state health departments on infection prevention matters.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license.
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Experience in staff training, development, and infection prevention, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training content tailored to various learning styles.
