Job overview:
The objective of this position is to ensure that the employees of Wisconsin Spice, Inc. (“WSI”) are able to complete their work safely. The Safety Coordinator will set safety standards and ensure the company and its employees are in compliance with health and safety laws.
Essential Job Functions:
Essential job functions of the Safety Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
-Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
-Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain all safety regulations and codes.
-Inspect facilities, machinery, or safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
-Review plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
- Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and/or safety related incidents to determine causes and preventive measures.
-Report or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or testing.
-Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct health and safety inspections violations.
-Conduct or direct testing of air quality, noise, or temperature levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations.
-Maintain liaisons with outside resources, such as fire departments, 3rd party suppliers/vendors so that emergency responses can be facilitated.
Job Requirements:
-Degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
-Prior experience in a Safety role.
-Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of tools at a high level, including Excel, Teams, Word, Access, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
