We are looking for an experienced and confident Plant Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team in a remote capacity. This position will be responsible for the development of and implementation of a company-wide EHS culture through technical support, program development, and relationship building. Manages the platform, training, and plant Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure operations minimize the impact upon the environment and provide a safe and accident-free work environment. This position will travel up to 50% of the time to our manufacturing locations across the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, organize, implement and manage safety and health programs and training at all locations to ensure compliance with established corporate policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct and prepare loss prevention audits to identify potential regulatory exposures. Establish action plans (administrative, engineering controls) to correct exposures.
Investigate and review injuries and illnesses to determine if injury/illness results in an unsafe work practice or unsafe work environment.
Review and analyze loss runs and apprise management of trends to support safety program development, improvement and cost reduction.
Conduct management and supervisory training in current safety topics for all locations.
Review proposed/new regulations for content and develop new or incorporate into existing EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
Monitor existing performance measures and develop strategic plans to enhance performance across all locations.
Mentor site leadership personnel in EHS related topics and activities.
Coordinate and lead the EHS annual audits of each facility.
Travel up to 50%.

Qualifications:
Minimum of B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health or Environment or related field; should include course work in safety management, safety and environment regulations, workers’ compensation, etc.
5 – 7 years progressive safety, health and environment experience, including hands on oversight in a manufacturing facility.
Strong management and training background.
Manufacturing experience required.
Knowledge of Federal, State OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation laws.
Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations
Proven ability to motivate, direct and coordinate the safety activities of managers and their direct reports.
Ability to work independently with little direction from manager.
Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and work with multiple locations and people.
Knowledgeable of Information Technologies functionality, interfaces and reporting.
Experience in dealing with and advanced knowledge of regulatory agencies, i.e., OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA , BRC, USDA required.

MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams are required.
Accredited OSHA, HAZWOPER, RCRA and ISO 14001 training and general competence
